The story

MEMENTO

Memento mori, "remember that you will die", is one of the oldest ideas in art. The skull has carried it through centuries of painting and tattooing.

We don't draw it as a threat. We draw it as a reason to live deliberately: a skull resting among lilies, a serpent moving through them, a full moon overhead.
